Quinceanera Weekend!

This past weekend my family and I held a traditional mexican quinceanera for my cousin Ayleen. This tradition is a very important one in my culture. It is a coming of age party for a celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday and her transition from childhood to adulthood, typically involving a mass and of course like I stated before, followed by a party. It is one of the most exciting parts of our lives beside our wedding. It includes a ball gown, a crown and an honor court. You are the princess for the day and it’s all in all a magical day (I wish I could go back to mine) hehe. It was so much fun to have a makeup artist and hair stylist at our house getting all of my aunts and cousins ready. We had never had that before and it was a party before the party. Makeup and...

Olive Silk Midi

I could not wait to wear this dress that I purchased at our new H&M store for a bargain of 10 bucks! Yes, 10 dollars! I was going to wait to wear it for my family trip to Cancun this November but, every time I would see it hanging in my closet I would feel the smooth silk and just want to take it off the rack immediately. Finally, I did. For those of you that do not live in Fresno or have never been it gets super hot and I mean super hot here. We have had consecutive weeks of triple digit weather and at that point you just want to wear a tank top, shorts and opened shoes. But, this thin silky chiffon dress was right on point for our heat heavy Saturday and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I love the color olive green when it comes...

Wintry Wardrobe

I have been dormant on posting an outfit shot for a while, Winter ties you up inside but today I got my hair and I thought why not! It’s more of a casual winter approach, but I’m wearing some of my favorite wardrobe and winter staples, these white jeans that are always in the wash after one wear because I am very clumsy but they were a must have for me. Teamed with a simple baggy jumper, which I love I have so many because they are so comfy and my splurge buy Tony Bianco Boots. As much as I love winter, after getting my hair done the last thing I needed was the rain. Show us your winter wardrobe by hashtagging #FFWW Xo  ...

Melbourne Snapshots

So the other weekend my friend and I spent the weekend in Melbourne (mostly Shopping – not that, that’s a surprise). We did the expected for all Australians when going to Melboune – H&M, the building was majestic, we walked past it on the first night and the bright red neon lights were calling my name! As it was a ‘fun’ trip I decided to keep this post fairly fun and candid so I tried something new with my photos. I wore this outfit to the Casino on the Saturday night – and yes I won (not a lot) haha! Overall it was a fun trip and fortunately I didn’t spend as much as I was expecting which is always a bonus! I did however buy this beautiful Tan Suede jacket which has kept me so warm this winter and it was on SALE! Top: Paint it Red from Denim & Cloth Skirt: Bardot Shoes: Marco Gianni Clutch:...

A wedding with Micahel…Michael Kors that is

Last Saturday my fiancé and I were invited to a beautiful wedding at a winery in our hometown. To be honest I had been looking forward to it for months because I had never been to a winery and I had never been to a winery wedding. So, I was very excited on how it would be and what to wear. Before being invited I had made a little bit of a splurge and purchased this Michael by Michael Kors slit maxi skirt. I had no idea where I would wear it to because of the slit I felt that it would be perfect for a casual formal event. Then we get invited to this wedding! I was excited for the type of wedding it was going to be and for finally being able to wear my skirt! Right when the cashier rung me up at Michael Kors I already knew what...

So, the movie Maleficent has finally came out! I have been looking forward to it since last year when I read that Angelina Jolie was cast as the main, vicious role! Now, when a movie that I really want to see comes out I usually watch it on that Friday or at least that weekend and when it’s a Disney classic cartoon movie remade into a real one, I’m definitely there! Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers

So I finished work a little earlier on Monday so of course I shopped. I was shopping for a 21st dress (which I may have found) when I stumbled on this beautiful Ice Blue or Tiffany Blue Blazer, the cut, the style, the colour captured my attention and lead to me swiping my credit card for fashion. It was an essential buy, I have already got so much use out of it and I absolutely love the colour! You would buy it too if you were in my position, wouldn't you?
